2013 Oscar Fashion

As I've stated many times before award shows always get me excited for its fashion. The Oscars are 3 hours long, so seeing Hollywood A-listers dress to the nines is what gets me through. Here's a run down of my favorites of the night.

Top-down: Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture, Reese Witherspoon in Louis Vuitton, Jennifer Aniston in Valentino, Kristen Stewart in Reem Acra, Amanda Seyfried in Alexander McQueen and Eddie Redmayne looking dapper.

Trend Report: Black and White

It seems that come spring time every lookbook is filled with bright, neon prints and patterns. I also usually see florals everywhere. It always brings to mind Meryl Streep's line in the Devil Wears Prada, "Florals for spring. How original.".

While I do love flower power, I was refreshingly excited to see mod looks in black and white in many catalogs. I love how chic and cool stripes and checkered prints instantly get with the b/w hue.

There are many things I love about shoes. I love that they can instantly add height and get you noticed. But above all else I love that you can inject your personality simply with what shoe your happen to choose. Charlotte Olympia is one of my favorite designers because of her quirky shoes. Who else could have made cat loafers so chic?!

2013 Resolutions

The beginning of a new year is the perfect time for change. Some may see change as a daunting feat while others (including myself) see it as an opportunity. It's an opportunity to start fresh and reinvent yourself. That's why this year my New Years resolution is to start blogging more frequently. It's been almost a year since my last post! I honestly can't believe I let it take so long to come back. But this year I pinky promise to not overlook my blog.

DIY: Beach Waves Mist

Have you ever wanted perfectly tousled waves? It's the perfect 'do for a lazy day on a beach or an exciting day at a music festival. While you can easily go out and buy a spray mist that is sure to be filled with harsh chemicals for your hair, you can also just as easily make your own mist! I was reading a post on All Natural Annie and found a simple way of using epsom salt for wavy hair. It doesn't involve a ton of ingredients and is sure to make your hair routine a breeze!
