Hunger Games Fashion

Like myself, I assume many of you raced off to a cinema this past weekend for the highly anticipated Hunger Games. Whether you're team Peeta or team Gale — is this even an issue?—we can all agree one of the coolest things about Panem is the Capitol's fashions. Crazy hair and tattooed faces are a norm in the Capitol. With her pink hair, bold make-up and avant-garde wardrobe, Effie Trinket is the poster girl for Capitol Couture.I know in reality experimental fashion like that may seem too 'out there'. One thing I love about fashion designers is that they never shy away of daring designs. I've rounded up my favorite pieces that I very well imagine Effie and Capitol citizens strutting on the Capitol streets!

Spring-spiration

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week and have an even greater weekend. Hopefully you'll consider watching The Hunger Games this weekend.

This week we've finally welcomed Spring! I've been in spring mode for some time, since the Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 show to be exact. This spring is all about soft pastels and ultra feminine pieces but a touch of bold and daring prints are also in the mix. I created an inspiration board for Spring fashion and trends. On the board I added soft, flowy dresses which I'm loving. I also included a lot of color. The floral dress in the middle is from Free People.
