DIY: Beach Waves Mist

Have you ever wanted perfectly tousled waves? It's the perfect 'do for a lazy day on a beach or an exciting day at a music festival. While you can easily go out and buy a spray mist that is sure to be filled with harsh chemicals for your hair, you can also just as easily make your own mist! I was reading a post on All Natural Annie and found a simple way of using epsom salt for wavy hair. It doesn't involve a ton of ingredients and is sure to make your hair routine a breeze!

Music Festival Attire

One thing that comes with warmer weather is music festivals. I've never been to a music festival but from I've seen in pictures and videos, it's clear to see that it's not just about the music. In recent years, music festivals have become a fashion runway of sorts. Probably one of the most known festival is the Coachella Music Festival in southern California. While the show line-up is hot, the fashion is hotter! Even celebs have gotten into the music/fashion clash. If you're attending a music festival this season but you are stuck on what to wear for the occassion, then fear no more! I've come up with tips on looking like a festival veteran!

Mani Monday

Hey you guys I hope you had a fun Easter this weekend. I certainly had fun hiding eggs for finding! This week I feel in love with lavender. I love the scent of it and the color of it. I was inspired by it do much I decided to paint my nails in a pretty purple.

Mani Monday

Sorry for not posting Mani Monday every week. I've been lazy lately but promise to not stray off track anymore. This week while browsing through the nail polish aisle at the store, I stumbled upon Revlon's scented nail enamels. I did some research and found out they are not a new addition (in fact Revlon has had them for a couple years now). While scented polishes are trendy that's not the reason for my purchase, I loved the bright yellow color of Beach. I don't usually wear bright colors but though this spring was a great time to make a change. The polishes are around $4 which beats the bigger price tags of OPI or Chanel enamels.

Btw, I suggest you don't get these polishes purely for the scents. 'Beach' does not really smell like a beach, it has a rose scent and doesn't last long.

Hunger Games Fashion

Like myself, I assume many of you raced off to a cinema this past weekend for the highly anticipated Hunger Games. Whether you're team Peeta or team Gale — is this even an issue?—we can all agree one of the coolest things about Panem is the Capitol's fashions. Crazy hair and tattooed faces are a norm in the Capitol. With her pink hair, bold make-up and avant-garde wardrobe, Effie Trinket is the poster girl for Capitol Couture.I know in reality experimental fashion like that may seem too 'out there'. One thing I love about fashion designers is that they never shy away of daring designs. I've rounded up my favorite pieces that I very well imagine Effie and Capitol citizens strutting on the Capitol streets!

Happy Friday! Hope you all had a great week and have an even greater weekend. Hopefully you'll consider watching The Hunger Games this weekend.

This week we've finally welcomed Spring! I've been in spring mode for some time, since the Louis Vuitton S/S 2012 show to be exact. This spring is all about soft pastels and ultra feminine pieces but a touch of bold and daring prints are also in the mix. I created an inspiration board for Spring fashion and trends. On the board I added soft, flowy dresses which I'm loving. I also included a lot of color. The floral dress in the middle is from Free People.

Trend Alert: Stripes

One trend I always go to come springtime is stripes. They come back every spring season just like spring showers. Stripes instantly give your outfit a Parisian vibe. While wearing striped garments offer a laid back feel, they may be hard to pull off. Here are my tips on how to rock stripes with style!

Mani Monday: Spring Break Edition

Where I live this week is Spring Break for the students. While I'm not in school anymore, I couldn't help but imagine what I would do given the chance to travel for spring break. Obviously I would pick an area near a coastline. Maybe someplace exotic; Fiji, Greece, Bali, the possibilities are endless. This weeks mani is inspired by foreign waters and golden rays of sun.

Mani Monday # 3

It may be early in March but where I live it's already starting to feel like spring! People are starting to have barbecues, pools are filled with water, green is taking over the scenery and bright colors are becoming essential in closets. Today's mani is inspired by the bright colors of spring.

3 coats of Nicole by OPI in Find Your Passion. Finish it off by adding a glitter top coat on the ring finger.

2012 Oscars Best Dressed

Like many other fashion bloggers, I look forward to award shows not so much because of the awards being handed out that night but for the fashion A-list celebs dress in. I enjoy seeing actors put on a costume of sorts and the glam of it all. Last night were the 2012 Oscar's and I was not disappointed with what the celebs decided on wearing. Below are my favorite looks from the night.

Mani Monday #1

I'm starting a weekly meme titled 'Mani Monday'. Since one of my favorite accessories is a pretty manicure, I will post tutorials and pics every Monday! You guys can also post them and leave a link in the comments so that I can check out your pretty polish.
Since tomorrow is Valentine's day I decided to post a Valentine's themed mani. Instead of going with the obvious red colored polish, I choose a pretty pink glittered one and a creme colored one on my ring finger. Seal it with a top coat for a longer lasting color. It's a more girly and flirty choice!
